Asado Returns: Toronto’s Latin Food Festival Sizzles Again at Stackt Aug 2nd

July 17, 2025

Get ready — Asado, the vibrant Latin-inspired food and cultural festival, is returning to Stackt Market in Toronto in August 2, 2025 — building on its dynamic 2024 debut and expanding further across the GTA.

Originally hosted at Stackt Market on August 11, 2024, Asado drew foodies, families, and music lovers to enjoy live-fire cooking, Latin food vendors, DJs, dance, and more — all in a festive, open-air atmosphere. The event featured over 50 Latin vendors, authentic grilled meats and drinks, and cultural performances to create an unforgettable experience. It was free with registration via TorontoLatinos.com.

However, in 2025 the festival moved to Assembly Park in Vaughan on June 28–29, expanding to a two‑day format with over 40 vendors, extended music programming, a vendor marketplace, the playful Chancla Throwing Contest, family workshops, and signature Asado grilling led by Copa Cabana Brazilian Steakhouse.

🔄 Back to Stackt?

While 2025’s main Asado event took place at Assembly Park, Stackt Market is scheduled to host Asado-themed events on August 2nd. Asado branding is strongly associated with Stackt Market, and future editions could see returns, especially under the festival’s rapid growth and popularity.

🎉 Festival Features

  • Latin Cuisine on Fire: Empanadas, choripán, grilled steaks and more, highlighting the art of South American asado.
  • Live Entertainment: Salsa bands, DJs, dancers, and contests including the first-ever Chancla Throwing Contest.
  • Community Marketplace: Local Latin arts, crafts, jewelry, and vendor from across Latin America.
  • Free Entry with Registration: Open to all ages, free before certain hours, entry by registration via TorontoLatinos.com.

📅 What’s Next?

  • Stay tuned: Festival organizers have hinted at returning to Stackt Market for additional Asado-themed gatherings, particularly during the Back‑Yard series of community events at Stackt.
  • Sign up for updates: Follow @Asado_Toronto on Instagram or check TorontoLatinos.com for announcements, registrations, and possible upcoming Asado days at Stackt.

Asado made a fiery, flavorful splash at Stackt Market in 2024 and evolved into a larger multi-day festival in Vaughan for 2025 — full of food, music, dancing, and community spirit. While the main festival has shifted venue, Stackt remains a key part of the Asado narrative, and future events on that site are highly likely. Keep tabs on festival updates so you don’t miss when Asado lights up Stackt again.

Subject: Inquiry About Participating in Asado Toronto 2025

    Good morning,

I would like to receive information on how I can participate in the Asado Toronto 2025 event. I currently run two small businesses: one offering Colombian food, specifically cheese sticks (“deditos” or “palitos de queso”), and another focused on custom handmade rugs.

I’m interested in having a stand for each business to promote both brands during the event. I truly appreciate your time and any information you can provide.

I look forward to your response.

    Best regards,
    Ricardo Rodríguez
