Lionel Messi’s Argentina team will participate in exhibition matches against Ecuador on June 9 at Soldier Field in Chicago and Guatemala five days later at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. These matches serve as preparation ahead of their defence of the Copa América title.

Last week, Argentina arranged friendlies against El Salvador on March 22 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and against Nigeria four days later at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. These fixtures were scheduled after a planned tour in China was canceled due to Messi’s absence from Inter Miami’s preseason game in Hong Kong.

Argentina, reigning world and South American champions, will kick off their Copa América campaign against either Canada or Trinidad and Tobago on June 20 in Atlanta. They will then face Chile five days later in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and conclude their group stage matches against Peru on June 29 in Miami Gardens, Florida.
