Toronto is getting ready for a weekend of laughter, Latin American humour and some of the funniest Spanish-speaking comedians in the business.
The Latin Comedy Fest 2026, presented by MalPensando, is bringing its sixth edition to Toronto this weekend, October 23–25, with comedians representing countries across Latin America.
Promoted as Canada’s largest Spanish-language comedy festival, the event has grown into an important celebration of Latin American talent, culture and community.
After performances in Montreal and Ottawa/Gatineau earlier this month, the festival is returning to Toronto for its final stretch.
Whether you’re Colombian, Mexican, Venezuelan, Puerto Rican, Costa Rican or simply someone who appreciates good comedy, this is an opportunity to experience the humour, accents and cultural references that connect Latin Americans.

Which Comedians Are Performing?
The 2026 festival brings together a large collection of Spanish-language stand-up talent, with organizers advertising approximately 40 comedians across its Canadian dates.
Among the featured comedians are:
Juan Cajiao (Colombia) — One of the driving forces behind MalPensando and the development of Spanish-language stand-up comedy in Toronto.
Stephan Dyer (Costa Rica) — Comedian, entrepreneur and co-founder of MalPensando, who has helped bring Latin American comedy to Canadian audiences.
Carolina Cuervo (Colombia) — Colombian comedian and performer promoted for the Toronto edition, including October 25.
Kiko Blade (Puerto Rico) — A Puerto Rican comedian included among the festival’s announced talent.
The wider festival has also featured comedians from Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Costa Rica, showcasing the diversity of humour across the Spanish-speaking world.
Because the festival presents different lineups for individual performances, attendees should confirm their chosen show’s roster with the organizers before purchasing tickets.
From Toronto to a National Latin Comedy Festival
What makes Latin Comedy Fest especially interesting is the story behind it.
MalPensando was developed by Colombian comedian Juan Cajiao and Costa Rican comedian Stephan Dyer, who helped build a Spanish-language comedy scene in Toronto.
Their work eventually evolved into a festival that now reaches audiences beyond the Greater Toronto Area.
For 2026, Latin Comedy Fest expanded across three Canadian markets: Montreal, Ottawa/Gatineau and Toronto.
Organizers say the festival has attracted sold-out audiences in previous years, reflecting the growing demand for entertainment created by and for Canada’s Spanish-speaking communities.
More Than Just a Comedy Show
For many Latin Americans living in Canada, comedy is about more than getting a laugh.
It’s about recognizing the expressions you grew up hearing, understanding jokes that don’t always translate into English and sharing familiar cultural experiences with people from different countries.
Latin Comedy Fest creates that atmosphere while giving Latin American performers an opportunity to reach new audiences in Canada.
It’s also another example of Toronto’s Latin entertainment scene continuing to grow beyond concerts, nightclubs and traditional cultural celebrations.
How to Get Tickets
Tickets for the Toronto performances can be purchased through the official festival website:

A Big Weekend for Toronto’s Latin Community
From Colombia and Costa Rica to Puerto Rico and beyond, Latin Comedy Fest is bringing together performers and audiences through a shared language and a universal love of laughter.
For Toronto’s growing Latin American community, it’s another chance to support talented performers, celebrate our culture and enjoy a night out entirely in Spanish.
