MUSIC | LATIN ROCK | OCTOBER 21, 2026
Mexican rock legends Maná are making history once again, announcing an exclusive six-show residency in Southern California for 2027.
The iconic band, responsible for some of the most recognizable songs in Latin rock history, will become the first musical act to headline an official residency at the Yaamava’ Theater inside Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California.
The residency, titled Maná: La Residencia, will take place across two separate periods in April and September 2027, giving fans a rare opportunity to experience one of Latin America’s biggest bands in a much more intimate setting.
Six Nights of Latin Rock History
Unlike the massive arenas and stadiums Maná has filled throughout its career, the Yaamava’ Theater accommodates approximately 2,500 guests.
For fans accustomed to seeing the band perform in front of tens of thousands of people, the smaller venue promises a completely different concert experience.
The six confirmed performances are scheduled for:
- April 6, 8 and 11, 2027
- September 1, 2 and 6, 2027
All six performances are listed for 8 p.m. local time.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale October 26, with information available through the official AXS residency ticket page.
Nearly Four Decades of Making Latin Music History
Formed in Guadalajara, Mexico, Maná has spent nearly four decades helping bring Spanish-language rock to international audiences.
With timeless hits including “Rayando el Sol,” “Oye Mi Amor,” “Clavado en un Bar,” “En el Muelle de San Blas,” and “Vivir Sin Aire,” the band has built a loyal following that spans generations.
Their landmark album ¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños? remains one of the most successful Latin rock albums ever released.
According to concert promoter Live Nation, Maná has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, establishing itself as one of the most commercially successful Latin rock groups in history.
California Has Become a Second Home for Maná
The announcement follows another historic chapter in the band’s career.
During its Vivir Sin Aire Tour, Maná surpassed Bruce Springsteen’s longstanding record for the most arena performances in Los Angeles, reaching 44 shows compared with Springsteen’s previous record of 42.
That achievement demonstrated something the Latin music industry has known for years: Spanish-language artists can compete with the biggest names in global entertainment.
Now, rather than focusing exclusively on enormous venues, Maná is embracing a smaller concert experience that brings audiences closer to the music.
A Major Moment for Latin Music in the United States
Maná’s residency represents more than another series of concerts.
For decades, Latin artists have fought for recognition in an American entertainment industry historically dominated by English-language performers.
Today, Spanish-language music is one of the most influential forces in the global music business, with artists selling out major arenas, headlining international festivals and reaching audiences far beyond Latin America.
Maná helped open those doors long before the current global explosion of reggaeton and Latin pop.
Their upcoming California residency is another reminder of how far Latin music has come and how much influence established Latin artists continue to have.
Will Maná Return to Canada?
Canadian fans have also enjoyed opportunities to see the legendary Mexican band perform.
Maná brought its Vivir Sin Aire Tour to Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena in October 2025, along with a performance in Montreal.
For now, the newly announced 2027 residency is focused on California, and no Canadian dates have been confirmed as part of the announcement.
For longtime fans, however, the prospect of seeing Maná perform in a 2,500-seat theater may be worth the trip south.
And for a band that has already accomplished so much, six historic nights in California offer another opportunity to celebrate the music that helped define Latin rock.
