Two of Latin music’s biggest names have come together for a collaboration few fans saw coming.

Mexican superstar Carín León and Colombian reggaeton sensation Ryan Castro have released “Atte El Insuperable,” a new track that brings together regional Mexican music and Colombia’s urban music scene.

Released October 9, the song is featured on MudaH, the deluxe edition of Carín León’s Latin Grammy-nominated album MUDA.

From Reggaeton to Corridos

Ryan Castro is best known for his reggaeton hits and unmistakable Medellín sound. But this time, the Colombian artist steps into Carín León’s world.

Rather than delivering a traditional reggaeton collaboration, the two artists embrace a corrido driven by Mexican brass instrumentation, with Ryan adding his own personality and urban influences.

The song tells the story of heartbreak, but with a twist. Instead of dwelling on a failed relationship, both artists approach the breakup with confidence, pride and a little attitude.

It’s an unexpected combination that works surprisingly well.

Mexico and Colombia Continue Making Musical History

Carín León has become one of the leading voices taking regional Mexican music to international audiences, while Ryan Castro continues expanding his sound beyond reggaeton.

Their collaboration reflects a growing trend in Latin music, where artists are increasingly stepping outside their traditional genres and connecting with audiences across Latin America.

For fans of both artists, “Atte El Insuperable” offers something different without losing what makes either performer recognizable.

A New Chapter for Carín León

The collaboration is one of five new songs added to MudaH, a deluxe project that explores everything from corridos and salsa to pop and rock.

The album’s title also pays tribute to León’s hometown of Hermosillo, Mexico, with the added “H” representing his Sonoran roots.

With both artists continuing to experiment with new sounds, this Mexican-Colombian collaboration is another reminder that Latin music doesn’t need to fit into one category.

“Atte El Insuperable” is available now on major streaming platforms.

And now the question for fans: Would you like to hear Ryan Castro release more regional Mexican music?
