Karol G is doing what Karol G does best — breaking records and reminding the world just how powerful Latin music has become.
The Colombian superstar is making Billboard history once again with “BbY WOW,” her collaboration with Spanish artists Judeline and rusowsky.
The song has returned to No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, spending a total of five weeks at the top of each ranking.
And the numbers are impressive.
According to Billboard’s latest chart update, “BbY WOW” generated 46.2 million streams worldwide between October 2 and 8, including 34.4 million streams outside the United States.
Another Historic Moment for La Bichota
The song has also dominated Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for eight consecutive weeks and reached No. 1 on Latin Airplay.
That latest achievement gives Karol G her 22nd No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, placing her second among female artists, behind only fellow Colombian superstar Shakira, who has 25.
For Judeline and rusowsky, the collaboration has been equally significant, earning both Spanish artists their first No. 1 on Latin Airplay.
“BbY WOW” has also set a new benchmark for Spanish artists on the Billboard Global 200, becoming the longest-running chart-topper involving an act from Spain.
Latin Music Isn’t Slowing Down
What’s particularly impressive about Karol G’s latest success is that she’s competing with some of the biggest names in global music — and winning.
“BbY WOW” reclaimed the top spot on the Global 200 ahead of Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero,” demonstrating the international reach of Spanish-language music.
From Medellín to Madrid and everywhere in between, Karol G continues to prove that Latin artists no longer need to cross over into English to dominate the global charts.
La Bichota isn’t just representing Colombia anymore. She’s helping define what global pop music sounds like.
