Canada’s Lotto Max Jackpot Hits Historic $85 Million

October 11, 2026

Canada has officially entered record-breaking lottery territory.

The Lotto Max jackpot has climbed to an incredible $85 million, making it the largest single lottery jackpot ever offered in Canadian history.

After nobody matched all seven winning numbers in Friday night’s $80-million draw, the jackpot rolled over to a historic $85 million for Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

And that’s not the only money up for grabs.

Tuesday’s draw will also feature 16 additional Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each, along with 85 Maxplus prizes worth $100,000 each. That’s a combined $109.5 million in potential prizes.

A New Record for Canada

The previous Lotto Max record stood at $80 million, a jackpot that was won in December 2025 by two friends from London, Ontario.

Earlier this year, Lotto Max introduced several changes, including increasing its maximum jackpot from $80 million to $90 million and raising ticket prices from $5 to $6.

Those changes have now helped produce the biggest jackpot the country has ever seen.

What Would You Do With $85 Million?

For most Canadians, $85 million is almost impossible to imagine.

You could buy your dream home, travel the world, retire your entire family, start a business or spend the rest of your life without worrying about another paycheque.

And for Toronto’s Latino community, imagine the possibilities. Helping family back home, investing in businesses across Latin America, buying property in your family’s country of origin or creating generational wealth for your children and grandchildren.

Of course, the odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 33.5 million, so becoming Canada’s next multimillionaire is far from guaranteed.

Still, somebody could be waking up Wednesday morning with $85 million more than they had the day before.

The historic Lotto Max draw takes place Tuesday, October 13, with tickets available through authorized lottery retailers and provincial lottery platforms.

So here’s the $85-million question: If you won, would you stay in Canada or move somewhere warm in Latin America?
