Latin music took over Europe Thursday night as Premios Juventud celebrated its 2026 awards in Marbella, Spain — the first time in the show’s 23-year history that the ceremony has been held in Europe.

And some of Latin music’s biggest names walked away as winners.

Shakira won three awards, including Female Artist of the Year and Best Pop Song for “Bésame” with Alejandro Sanz. Her World Cup hit “Dai Dai” with Burna Boy also won Collaboration OMG.

Bad Bunny was named Male Artist of the Year and also took home Best Tour for his “Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.”

Karol G added another major award to her collection, winning Album of the Year for “Tropicoqueta.” She also won Best Urban Rhythmic Song alongside Feid for “Verano Rosa.”

Aitana, Romeo Santos, Prince Royce and Alejandro Fernández were also among the night’s biggest winners, each taking home multiple awards.

But beyond the awards themselves, the location made this year’s ceremony particularly significant.

After previously holding Premios Juventud in cities including Miami, Los Angeles, Houston and Panama City, the show crossed the Atlantic for the first time, bringing one of Latin entertainment’s biggest awards ceremonies to Spain.

The night also featured performances from Marc Anthony, Wisin, Camilo, Farruko and others, while Marc Anthony, Yandel, Antonio Banderas and La Oreja de Van Gogh were recognized as “Agents of Change” for their cultural and social impact.

Camilo also used the stage to premiere “Árbol,” a new song from his upcoming album “Para Cuando Sean Mayores.”

From Colombia and Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Spain, the 2026 Premios Juventud showed just how international Latin music has become.

Latin music didn’t just cross the Atlantic this week — it took over Marbella.
