Eros Ramazzotti Delays Toronto Concert Until 2027 After Vocal Cord Surgery

August 26, 2026

Toronto fans hoping to see Eros Ramazzotti this fall will have to wait another year.

The Italian superstar has postponed the North and Latin American portion of his Una Historia Importante World Tour until 2027 as he continues recovering from surgery on his vocal cords.

The good news for Toronto: the city will now play a special role in his return.

Ramazzotti’s rescheduled North and Latin American tour is set to begin in Toronto on September 24, 2027 at Coca-Cola Coliseum, before heading to Montreal and continuing across the United States and Latin America.

The Toronto concert is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Why Eros Ramazzotti Postponed the Tour

Ramazzotti underwent surgery on his vocal cords earlier this year. While the procedure was reportedly successful, doctors prescribed a rehabilitation program that will prevent him from being ready for the originally scheduled 2026 concerts.

Rather than rush his recovery, the 62-year-old singer has pushed the entire Americas portion of the tour into 2027.

For an artist whose career and live performances depend so heavily on his voice, the additional recovery time is intended to allow him to return to the stage safely.

Toronto Will Launch His Return to the Americas

The new schedule gives Toronto fans something of a consolation prize.

Ramazzotti will launch the rescheduled leg at Coca-Cola Coliseum on Friday, September 24, 2027, followed by a Canadian stop in Montreal on September 26.

From there, the tour will travel through major U.S. cities before heading into Latin America.

Stops currently include Boston, New York, Chicago, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles, followed by concerts in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

The Latin American portion is scheduled to include Monterrey, Mexico City, Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and São Paulo.

Ramazzotti has enjoyed enormous popularity across Latin America throughout his career, recording many of his biggest songs in both Italian and Spanish.

Hits including “La Cosa Más Bella,” “Otra Como Tú,” “Cosas de la Vida” and “Por Ti Me Casaré” helped make him one of the most recognizable European artists among Spanish-speaking audiences.

What Happens to Toronto Tickets?

Fans who already purchased tickets for most of the postponed concerts are being advised to hold onto them, as tickets will generally remain valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates.

However, there are exceptions elsewhere on the tour, with some concerts cancelled rather than postponed. Fans should therefore confirm the status of their individual tickets through their original point of purchase.

For Toronto, the new date is officially listed as:

Eros Ramazzotti – Una Historia Importante World Tour
Friday, September 24, 2027
Coca-Cola Coliseum, Toronto
8:00 p.m.

It may be a much longer wait than Toronto fans expected, but when Ramazzotti finally returns to the Americas, Toronto will be the city where the comeback begins.
