Bad Bunny is officially heading to infinity and beyond. The global superstar has been announced as part of the voice cast for Toy Story 5, marking his first-ever role in a major Pixar film.

Disney and Pixar revealed that the Puerto Rican artist — whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — will voice a brand-new character hilariously named “Pizza with Sunglasses†(Pizza con Gafas). The quirky new addition was introduced through an animated teaser featuring a slice of pepperoni pizza rocking black sunglasses and bouncing around with unmistakable swagger.

According to Pixar, the character is “effortlessly cool and mysterious†and belongs to a forgotten group of toys living inside an abandoned backyard shed. The role appears perfectly tailored to Bad Bunny’s personality and sense of humour, blending comedy with the artist’s laid-back charisma.

For longtime fans, the casting also feels surprisingly full circle. During the pandemic in 2020, Bad Bunny frequently posted homemade Toy Story-inspired videos using his personal collection of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Forky toys, showing his genuine love for the franchise years before landing an official role in it.

The film will also see the return of legendary cast members including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie. New additions to the cast include Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, and Craig Robinson.

The upcoming sequel reportedly focuses on the classic toys competing against modern technology and smart devices for Bonnie’s attention — a storyline many longtime fans will probably relate to.

Already balancing music, touring, acting, and major film appearances, Bad Bunny continues expanding his influence far beyond music. Fans will officially meet “Pizza with Sunglasses†when Toy Story 5 hits theatres worldwide on June 19, 2026.
