Toronto’s bachata fans better get ready, because two of the biggest names in Latin music are about to take over Scotiabank Arena on May 29. After lighting up cities across North America, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce are bringing their highly anticipated Mejor Tarde Que Nunca Tour to Toronto for what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Latin concerts of the year.

Fresh off an explosive stops south of the boarder, the bachata superstars reminded fans why they continue to dominate the genre worldwide. The tour, whose name translates to “Better Late Than Never,” marks the first major collaborative tour between the two artists, despite years of being viewed as friendly rivals within bachata music.

According to reports, the energy inside the arena was nonstop. Fans screamed at every dance move, every vocal run, and every flirtatious gesture from the stage. The night felt less like a concert and more like a celebration of Latin culture, romance, and nostalgia.

The concert itself blends both artists’ biggest hits into one continuous experience. Romeo Santos delivers his signature dramatic stage presence on songs like “Propuesta Indecente” and “Noche de Sexo,” while Prince Royce balances the night with his smoother pop-infused bachata style through songs like “Darte un Beso” and “Corazón Sin Cara.” Fans also get unforgettable Aventura moments, including massive singalongs to classics like “Obsesión.”

The production has also been turning heads. Reports from previous tour stops describe a massive multilevel stage, New York-inspired visuals complete with subway scenes, live musicians, multiple outfit changes, and even surprise entrances involving a Hummer rolling onto the stage.

For Toronto’s Latin community, this concert feels bigger than just another tour stop. Bachata has always had a special place in the city’s nightlife and culture, from downtown Latin clubs to family gatherings and summer festivals. Seeing Romeo Santos and Prince Royce together on one stage at Scotiabank Arena is the kind of event fans have waited years for.

If the reaction from previous shows is any indication, Toronto is about to experience a night filled with singing, nostalgia, dancing, and pure bachata madness.
