Traveling with pets could soon become much easier for Toronto families. London-based pet aviation company Vicuna Airhas announced plans to expand its routes to Toronto, offering a new way for pet owners to fly with their dogs without placing them in cargo.

The company specializes in pet-first travel experiences designed to reduce the stress many animals face when flying. According to founder and CEO Jamie Everett, the goal is to give pets a safer and more comfortable travel option rather than being confined to cargo holds during flights.

Vicuna Air offers three service tiers. Biscuit Class transports dogs between airports for pickup at the final destination. Biscuit Class Plus includes handling travel paperwork along with pickup and delivery services for pets. The premium option, Furs Class, allows dogs to travel in the cabin with their owners, offering a first-class experience for both pets and passengers.

Flights currently operate from cities like London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Dubai, with Toronto, Milan, and Frankfurt routes expected to launch soon.

Prices range from about $1,620 to $9,230, depending on the route — a premium price for peace of mind when flying with your furry companion.
