Shakira is set to close the Mexican leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour with a free concert at Mexico City’s iconic Zocalo on March 1 at 8 p.m., marking her return to the historic square nearly 20 years after her last performance there in 2007.

In a message shared on social media, the Colombian superstar thanked Mexican fans for their unwavering support and promised to give back “a little bit of that love.” Mexico City’s head of government, Clara Brugada, confirmed the event, calling Shakira an artist deeply loved in the country.

The Zócalo show caps off a monumental Mexican stretch of her tour, which has included 31 dates across the country, including 13 performances at Estadio GNP Seguros in the capital. The tour itself has already made history, earning a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour by a Hispanic artist, with $421.6 million and 3.3 million tickets sold.

The Zócalo, one of the world’s largest public squares, has hosted record-breaking crowds — and Shakira is once again poised to make history in its heart.
