It was a historic and emotional night for Bad Bunny, who closed out the 2026 Grammy Awards with the biggest prize of all — Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
When Harry Styles announced his name, the Puerto Rican superstar appeared stunned, covering his face and tearing up before walking to the stage. He delivered most of his speech in Spanish, briefly switching to English to dedicate the award to people who have had to leave their homelands to pursue their dreams.
In Spanish, he thanked God, the Recording Academy, and the fans who believed in him and gave him the strength to continue his journey.
With this victory, Bad Bunny becomes the first artist ever to win Album of the Year with a Spanish-language album, marking a major milestone not only in his career but in the history of Latin music on the global stage.
He triumphed in a stacked category that included Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator, and others.
The night didn’t stop there. Bad Bunny also won Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance for “EoO.”
During one of his earlier acceptance speeches, he addressed the political climate in the U.S., speaking about love, humanity, and the dignity of immigrant communities. His message emphasized unity over hate and called for compassion and respect.
The Grammy sweep adds even more momentum to an already huge moment in his career, as Bad Bunny is also set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show next weekend — another global stage that continues to highlight Latin culture at the center of mainstream entertainment.
