Jake Paul’s latest boxing gamble ended in a brutal loss Friday night in Miami. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was knocked out by former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in the sixth round of their fight at the Kaseya Center on December 19.

Joshua dominated the bout, knocking Paul down four times before landing a decisive right hand that ended the fight. It marked Paul’s second career loss and first knockout defeat. Shortly after the fight, Paul revealed he suffered a broken jaw in two places, sharing an X-ray on Instagram and assuring fans he was “ok” despite the injury.

The fight lasted longer than many expected, with Paul showing energy early and avoiding heavy damage in the first half. But the size, power, and experience gap became clear as the rounds progressed. After multiple knockdowns and visible fatigue, Joshua closed the show in the sixth.

Post-fight, Joshua praised Paul’s toughness, saying he respected his willingness to keep getting up, but emphasized that boxing is as much psychological as it is physical. While admitting it wasn’t his sharpest performance, Joshua said the goal was clear: hurt Paul and finish the fight.

Joshua, now 29-4, hinted that his sights are set on a potential showdown with Tyson Fury, while Paul begins recovery from one of the toughest nights of his fighting career.
