The Dominican Republic has authorized several U.S. military aircraft to land and operate in the country over the coming days as part of a regional support mission in the Caribbean.

According to government officials, the aircraft will be operating under temporary permits from restricted areas at San Isidro Air Base and Las Américas International Airport. The mission falls under existing cooperation agreements between the Dominican Republic and the United States and will focus on surveillance, transport, logistics, and technical support.
