Marc Anthony’s Music Catalog Just Sold — And It’s a Big Deal for Latin Music

Marc Anthony’s legendary catalog has a new home — and it’s worth serious money. GoDigital Music just announced it acquired multiple Latin music catalogs in a deal valued at around $115 million, including what it calls a “substantial acquisition” of Marc Anthony’s music.

The deal covers more than 30,000 tracks, including some of Anthony’s biggest hits like “Vivir Mi Vida,” “Rain Over Me,” and “Ahora Quién.” Until now, many of these recordings were controlled by major labels like Sony Latin, meaning GoDigital isn’t just buying songs — they’re buying long-term streaming, licensing, and publishing power tied to decades of Latin music history.

And Marc Anthony is just one piece of the puzzle. The acquisition also includes a massive Regional Mexican catalog, featuring Ranchera, Banda, Norteño, Corridos, and Cumbia from the ’80s through the 2000s — the kind of music that never stopped playing at family parties and still racks up millions of streams today.

When companies buy catalogs, they’re betting on forever revenue — every stream, TikTok sound, movie placement, and commercial adds up. As GoDigital founder Jason Peterson put it, Latin music isn’t just growing — it’s becoming the world’s soundtrack.

The deal also includes music from artists like Marisela, Los Socios del Ritmo, 3BallMTY, Slum Village, and more, proving once again that Latin music is the crown jewel of the global industry — and everyone wants a piece of it.
