Bad Bunny Reclaims the Crown: Spotify Wrapped 2025 Is Here

December 3, 2025

The holiday season has officially kicked off — and so has one of the internet’s favourite annual traditions: Spotify Wrapped. This year’s biggest surprise? Bad Bunny is back on top, reclaiming the title of the world’s most-streamed artist after two years of Taylor Swift dominance.

Bad Bunny Leads a Record-Breaking Year

Spotify’s global data shows the Puerto Rican superstar racked up 19.8 billion streams in 2025, securing the No. 1 spot once again. He’s followed by Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish.
In the U.S., Swift holds onto the top position, while Bad Bunny lands at No. 5.

His album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” also tops the global album charts, followed by the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack and major 2024 releases from Billie Eilish, SZA, and Sabrina Carpenter.

On the global song charts, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die with a Smile” takes the crown with more than 1.7 billion streams, while Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” dominates in the U.S.

What’s New in Wrapped 2025?

Spotify added several new interactive features this year, including:

  • Top Albums — a dedicated breakdown of the albums users loved most

  • Fan Leaderboards showing how hardcore your listening habits really are

  • Listening Age, which compares your taste to your generational peers

  • Wrapped Party, letting you stack your stats against other users

Spotify also brought back fan-favourite features like Top Genres and expanded tools like Top Songs, which now tracks how many times you played each of your Top 100 tracks.

Wrapped and the Streaming Economy

Wrapped continues to reveal a music landscape ruled by global superstars — a reflection of both massive fanbases and Spotify’s own playlist ecosystem. While indie artists may show up in listeners’ personal Wrapped stories, cracking the global charts requires billions of streams.

As the world’s biggest streaming platform — with 713 million users and 281 million subscribers across 180+ markets — Spotify’s influence is only growing. Streaming now represents 84% of all U.S. music revenue, underscoring just how central these platforms have become to the industry.
