Enter Café con Leche, a Latin-inspired daytime party where coffee, music, and community replace shots and stumbling out at 3 a.m. Picture reggaeton, café vibes, and friends connecting over espresso instead of vodka sodas. Don’t get me wrong, a full bar exists… not everyone loves coffee LOL
“We wanted to create a space where people can dance, socialize, sip their drink of choice — coffee, matcha, or even a cocktail — and still have the rest of the day ahead of them,” says founder, Carlos Brito.
What started as a small idea is quickly becoming a Toronto cult favorite. Every event pulls in a mixed crowd craving connection without the chaos of nightclub culture. Think of it as a blend of Latin café traditions and Toronto’s love for creativity, music, and wellness.
Attendees say it feels refreshing to party without pressure. “Neither of us are big club goers or drinkers, so it’s nice to still have fun, dance, and be social — but with coffee in hand instead of a hangover the next day,” one guest explained.
The rise of these events mirrors broader trends: Gen Z cutting back on alcohol, wellness culture booming, and communities looking for healthier, more intentional ways to connect. And Toronto Latinos is leading the way — infusing these parties with cultural flair, music, and the warmth of Latin coffee traditions.
The next Café con Leche Party is set for Sunday October 5, promising a mix of café vibes and reggaeton beats — with cafecito, and DJs spinning until mid-afternoon.
