Ontario’s Fall Forecast: Mild Days, Cool Nights, and a Chilly November Ahead

Sep 10, 2025 | Community News

September 10, 2025

Ontario is in for a season of contrasts this fall. After a chilly start to September, mid-September through October should bring stretches of warmer-than-normal, pleasant weather—perfect for enjoying the fall foliage, outdoor activities, and those last backyard barbecues before winter sets in. Storms are expected to be fewer during this period, giving Ontario a relatively calm and enjoyable autumn.

However, don’t put away your coats just yet. November is likely to bring more active weather, with cooler temperatures and a return of storms across the province, signaling a strong start to winter. While the heart of fall may feel mild and calm, residents should expect some fluctuations—short bursts of cold or rain could interrupt otherwise pleasant stretches.

Overall, Ontario’s fall promises a mix of mild, enjoyable days and crisp, more active late-season weather, offering the best of both worlds: time to savor autumn while gradually preparing for winter.
