From Calle to Catwalk: Reggaeton’s Glow-Up in 2025

August 14, 2025

Once upon a time, reggaeton dressed exactly like it sounded—gritty, sweaty, straight from el callejón. Baggy jeans, backwards caps, Nike TNs, oversized tees. Raw and unpolished was the whole point.

But 2025? Different story. Now it’s “más fuego, menos fórmula.” Think Yo Perreo Sola… but in custom Mugler.

The genre’s biggest stars are stepping out in mesh tops, pearls, Margiela, platform Crocs (sí, en serio) and gender-bending silhouettes. It’s still street, but with a front-row seat at Paris Fashion Week. Every fit says: “I’m not just here to perform. I’m here to be seen.”

Bad Bunny? He tore up the rulebook—latex skirts one day, pareos and pearls the next. Young Miko? A 2002 Hot Topic fever dream but make it cool again. Feid’s still rocking neon glasses and cargos, but now with tailored looks and designer motocross gear. Rauw Alejandro? Metallics, mesh, and cyber-romance drip.

The Spanish wave is in the mix too—Quevedo’s skate-meets-Prada vibe, Cruz Cafuné’s earthy Off-White energy, and Rels B’s coastal Casanova aesthetic. And Karol G? She’s serving full-on high-fashion warfare—Diesel denim one night, archival Gaultier the next.

Reggaeton fashion isn’t about flexing price tags anymore—it’s about chaos, confidence, and turning heads. The beats are still heavy, but in 2025, the visuals are just as loud.
