Mark your calendars — September 5, 2025, is about to make NFL and YouTube history. For the first time ever, YouTube will stream an NFL game live and exclusively, totally free for fans around the world. And who’s lighting up halftime? None other than global superstar Karol G.

The season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers is already a blockbuster matchup, but this one comes with extra flair — it’s happening at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. Coverage kicks off at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. BRT, with the game starting an hour later.

Karol G, fresh off her record-breaking album Tropicoqueta, will bring her high-energy hits to the halftime stage. Her song Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido has already pulled nearly a billion views on YouTube, making her the perfect choice for a global spotlight. “I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone in São Paulo and fans all around the world,” she says.

The night will be packed with culture, too — Brazil’s own Ana Castela will sing the national anthem, Kamasi Washington will perform the U.S. anthem, and curated in-game music will highlight Latin American sounds. Expect appearances from top YouTube creators and plenty of surprises along the way.

This isn’t just football — it’s a fusion of sports, music, and streaming that shows exactly where live entertainment is headed.
