Bad Bunny Just Made Formula 1 History in Puerto Rico — With a Little Help From adidas and Mercedes-AMG

Bad Bunny is doing it again — breaking boundaries and making history. This time, he’s teaming up with adidas Originals and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team for something Puerto Rico has never seen before: a live Formula 1 car demo, right in the heart of San Juan.

On August 2nd at 9AM local time, fans can head to the iconic Puente Dos Hermanos to watch an actual F1 car speed across the bridge — yes, you read that right. It’s the first time ever that a Formula 1 car has touched Puerto Rican soil. Esteban Gutiérrez will be behind the wheel, and the event is totally free and open to the public.

The surprise? Bad Bunny isn’t just watching from the sidelines — Mercedes-AMG announced he’s officially joining the team in celebration of the partnership. It’s a bold move, but honestly, it fits. Benito’s known for pushing limits, and now he’s bringing that same fearless energy to the world of motorsport.

As part of the collab, fans will also get a sneak peek at a new product drop from adidas Originals, Bad Bunny, and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1. No full details yet, but it’s safe to say the collection will blend street style with high-speed vibes.

After the demo run, fans can get up close with the F1 car and check out a curated exhibit at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Think vintage racing gear from the Mercedes-AMG archives — race suits, gloves, boots — all celebrating the legacy of Formula 1.

This epic crossover comes while Bad Bunny is in the middle of his sold-out residency No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí at the Coliseo, with support from adidas Originals. It’s all part of a bigger mission: spotlighting Puerto Rico on the global stage through music, fashion, sport, and culture.

From the racetrack to reggaetón, this is one moment Puerto Rico (and the world) won’t forget.
