Fat Joe Denies Explosive Allegations from Former Hype Man in $20M Lawsuit

Hip-hop star Fat Joe is forcefully denying shocking allegations made by his former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, who filed a 157-page lawsuit accusing the rapper of sexual misconduct, abuse, and exploitation. Dixon, who worked with Fat Joe for 16 years, claims he was coerced into thousands of sex acts and witnessed the rapper engage in relations with underage girls.

Filed in New York federal court, the suit includes graphic allegations of psychological control, surveillance, and forced sexual acts during international tours. It names not only Fat Joe (real name Joseph Cartagena) but also his close associates and Roc Nation, accusing them of enabling a “culture of dominance and humiliation.”

Dixon seeks up to $20 million in damages, citing coercion, financial fraud, and violent intimidation. He alleges that Fat Joe used his celebrity status to control others through fear, retaliation, and manipulation — including incidents on luxury yachts and corporate properties.

Fat Joe’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, dismissed the lawsuit as “complete fabrications” and called it an act of “retaliation and extortion.” He emphasized that the rapper has already filed a separate lawsuit against Dixon and his attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, for defamation and attempted extortion.

Tacopina described the claims as part of a broader pattern by Blackburn to gain media attention through “salacious and baseless” lawsuits, noting previous federal judges have criticized his conduct.

As the legal battle intensifies, Dixon says he’s ready to fight back: “You can’t fight him no other way… Joe thinks he’s untouchable.” Both sides now brace for a high-profile courtroom clash with reputations and millions at stake.
