The America’s Got Talent Season 20 premiere (May 27) saw an unforgettable audition from Micah Palace, a 20-something rapper of Argentine descent whose original song “No Sabo” struck a chord with audiences and judges alike.

Performing on an ironing board with a mini keyboard, Palace opened up about feeling caught between two cultures — a sentiment echoed in his upbeat, bilingual anthem. “‘No Sabo’ is a term used to poke fun at Latino kids who don’t speak perfect Spanish,” he said. “I made this for everyone who’s ever felt like they don’t belong.”

Palace’s performance was a showstopper:

  • He blended Spanish and English lyrics with charisma and a flow likened to Pitbull.

  • He closed his set with a dramatic jacket removal and a backflip, earning him a standing ovation from judge Sofía Vergara.

  • The panel — Vergara, Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Howie Mandel — all gave him enthusiastic yeses to advance.

Based in Connecticut, Palace has built a following on TikTok with his Spanglish tracks and cites Feid, Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, and Rauw Alejandro as key influences. The next round of auditions airs June 3, where fans can watch Palace’s journey continue.
