Photographer Edwin Blanco and photo agency Backgrid USA have filed lawsuits against Jennifer Lopez, accusing her of copyright infringement. The suits allege that Lopez posted copyrighted photos of herself at a pre-Golden Globes event to Instagram and X without permission. The images, showing her in a white fur coat and slip dress, were reportedly used to promote fashion brands she wore. Attorney Peter Perkowski, representing the plaintiffs, claims Lopez initially agreed to a settlement but failed to finalize it. The lawsuit seeks up to $150,000 per photo in damages and a jury trial. This isn’t the first time Lopez has faced legal action for sharing images without proper licensing.
