Directed and produced by Jennifer Tiexiera—best known for HBO’s Unveiled: Surviving La Luz del Mundo—and Gabriela Cavanagh, this new documentary gives fans a front-row seat to Becky G’s deeply personal and creative ride as she brings her first música mexicana album, Esquinas (2023), to life.

Becky G—aka Rebbeca Marie Gomez—shot to fame with catchy pop anthems like “Shower” and went on to dominate the charts with bold, genre-bending hits like “Mayores” with Bad Bunny and “Mamiii” with Karol G. She’s also flexed her acting chops, starring as the Yellow Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers reboot and voicing a cameo in 2023’s Blue Beetle.

According to the film’s synopsis, Becky takes a powerful trip back to her roots, reflecting on her past and reconnecting with her culture while crafting Esquinas. And that’s not all—after the film’s premiere, she’ll hit the stage for a live performance that’s sure to be one of the festival’s standout moments.

Tribeca 2025 ticket packages are already on sale at the festival’s official site. Single-day tickets drop for Tribeca members on April 24, and the general public can snag theirs starting April 29.

The doc lands at a major turning point in Becky’s journey, coming right after the release of her second música mexicana album, Encuentros (2024)—an album that continues to redefine her sound and spotlight her roots with pride.
