Bad Bunny is reportedly planning to invest $2.5 million to establish a United Soccer League (USL) team in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, potentially marking the island’s return to American club soccer for the first time since 2011. Alongside his record label Rimas and baseball player Yadier Molina as rumored co-investors, the team may feature Rimas as a shirt sponsor. Puerto Rico previously had three USL teams in 2011, but financial struggles prevented them from completing their first season. This investment represents a significant effort to revive Puerto Rico’s presence in U.S. soccer, driven by Bad Bunny’s connection to his homeland.
