Five Chilean men have been arrested and charged with six counts of break-and-enter, among other offences, following a series of residential burglaries in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). York Regional Police began investigating after a burglary on Avenue Road and Wilson Avenue in Toronto, followed by an attempted break-in near Indian Road and Woodeden Drive. The suspects were apprehended at a rental property in Oakville, where police recovered stolen jewelry and valuables. Authorities believe the men entered Canada to commit these crimes and have released their photos to help identify additional victims.

The men were identified as Michael Brandon Fornells Quezada, 27, Jonathan Alexis Gamboa Carrancio, 36, Claudio Andres Valdes Poblete, 39, Ricardo Javier Parada Neirda, 35, and Daniel Arturo Reyes Miranda, 32, all of Chile.
