Gloria Calderón Kellett and Eva Longoria are teaming up to celebrate the life and legacy of Celia Cruz through a strategic partnership between GloNation Studios and Hyphenate Media Group. This alliance allows GloNation to exclusively develop television and film projects based on the iconic Afro-Cuban singer’s extraordinary career. Kellett’s storytelling prowess, combined with the resources and infrastructure provided by Hyphenate Media (co-founded by Longoria and Cris Abrego), promises a thoughtful and significant portrayal of Cruz’s life.

Celia Cruz, known as the “Queen of Salsa,” had a five-decade career, releasing over 80 albums and earning multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards. Her songs like La Vida es un Carnaval and La Negra Tiene Tumbao remain timeless hits. This new series and film project will continue to introduce Cruz’s legacy to new generations, building on a previous Telemundo series dedicated to her life.

Kellett’s collaboration with Hyphenate Media, which was founded in 2023 with support from Banijay Entertainment, is a notable step toward creating culturally significant content that celebrates iconic Latinx figures. This project is expected to highlight the transformative power of storytelling, offering deeper insights into Cruz’s contributions to Latin music and culture.

Fans of Cruz can expect a heartfelt tribute that honors her journey and music through these upcoming productions, making it a highly anticipated project for Latin music enthusiasts and viewers alike.
