Premium Restaurants of America, the operator of Starbucks in El Salvador, has announced the launch of the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program in the country, starting on May 30, 2024. This program aims to enhance digital engagement with customers by offering personalized rewards.
Starbucks Rewards is a purchase-based loyalty system where members earn Stars for their spending on eligible purchases. Customers can join and start earning Stars using various payment methods, including the Starbucks Digital Card, credit card, debit card, or cash.
From the beginning, members in El Salvador will be able to accumulate Stars and redeem them for rewards like free drinks or meals. The program features two tiers: Green and Gold. Green level members receive benefits such as a free beverage for every 150 Stars, a complimentary birthday drink, and a free Americano with whole bean coffee purchases. After earning 200 Stars, members advance to the Gold level, which includes all Green level perks plus additional benefits like a second free bean option and complimentary refills of the coffee of the day.
Salvadorian customers can also place and pay for orders in advance via the Starbucks app, allowing them to pick up their orders without waiting in line. The introduction of the Starbucks Card, a prepaid option, enables users to earn double Stars for every dollar when they reload and use the card for payments.
Sofia Flores, Starbucks El Salvador country manager, emphasized that the launch of Starbucks Rewards is a priority for the market as it will help personalize customer experiences in a quick and accessible manner.
