Thousands of attendees at the Sueños Festival in Grant Park were ordered to evacuate on Sunday night due to severe weather. At 8:17 p.m., the festival’s social media account on X (formerly known as Twitter) announced the evacuation and advised people to calmly exit via the closest emergency exit. The festival had already faced delays earlier in the day due to showers and thunderstorms, postponing several artist performances. Gates, initially set to open at noon, didn’t open until 3 p.m., with performances beginning around 5 p.m. Peso Pluma was scheduled to headline at 9 p.m. The Sueños Festival, which focuses on reggaeton and Latin trap music, began in 2022.
