Jennifer Lopez recently faced speculation about her marriage to Ben Affleck during a press conference for her new movie “Atlas” in Mexico City. When a reporter asked about the rumors of their possible split, Lopez’s co-star Simu Liu promptly intervened to redirect the conversation.

“OK we’re not doing that,” Liu said, thanking everyone and indicating the end of that line of questioning. Lopez also responded politely yet firmly, saying, “You know better than that,” and requested the reporter not to bring negative energy into the room.

The press event concluded on a lighter note when Lopez humorously remarked in Spanish that no one had asked a question in Spanish, which elicited laughter from the audience.

Lopez and Affleck, who rekindled their early-2000s romance and married in 2022, have been the subject of recent reports suggesting marital trouble. Notably, Affleck did not attend the premieres of “Atlas” in Los Angeles or Mexico City, fueling further speculation. The sci-fi thriller “Atlas” begins streaming on Netflix this Friday.
