The Latin American Music Awards, hosted by Univision, has announced its nominations, with reggaeton artist Feid and Mexican music pioneer Peso Pluma leading with 12 nominations each, followed closely by Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera with 11 nominations each. The awards ceremony will be hosted by Latin pop sensation Thalia, along with presenters Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce, and will air live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 25.
Feid and Peso Pluma will compete in multiple categories, including artist of the year, song of the year, album of the year, and collaboration of the year. Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera also have significant nominations, along with Karol G and Shakira with nine nominations each, and Eslabon Armado and Fuerza Regida with eight.
There are a total of 27 categories with 76 nominees, covering various musical genres including pop, urban, música Mexicana, and tropical. Nominees were selected based on fan interactions through streaming, sales, radio broadcasts, tours, and social media data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period from Feb. 11, 2023, to Feb. 24, 2024. Fans have until April 1 to vote online.
The previous year’s big winner, Karol G, took home multiple awards for the second year in a row. The show featured notable collaborations, including the debut televised performance of Peso Pluma and Becky G’s “Chanel.” Performers for the 2024 event have not been announced yet.
Univision Canada will be broadcasting once again the Latin American Music Awards this year live on April 25th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, as follows:
