Growing up in a sports-oriented family, she tried various sports before basketball became her passion. With Colombian and Puerto Rican heritage, Taylor has proudly represented Team USA in international competitions, gaining insight into basketball’s popularity in Latin countries. She has also excelled in collegiate basketball, playing for Texas and Duke before landing at Ohio State. Taylor’s defensive prowess has earned her recognition, including being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year. As she competes in March Madness, Taylor’s grandparents, who reside in Colombia, provide unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of education and safety. Looking ahead, Taylor aims to inspire the next generation of Latina basketball players, proud of her journey and eager to serve as a role model for young girls.
