Altadis recently introduced the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua cigar, followed by the Montecristo 1935 Edición Diamante, both priced moderately. However, at the upcoming PCA trade show, they will unveil the Montecristo 1935 Edición Doble Diamante, priced at a hefty $150 per cigar. The high price is attributed to the use of aged tobacco, with all components aged for a minimum of 10 years before rolling. Made in Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez, this limited edition Toro cigar measures 6 1/2 inches by 54 ring gauge and is produced in only 250 boxes of 20, totaling 5,000 cigars. Each box serves as a humidor, featuring a glossy piano finish. Additionally, retailers purchasing a box receive a diamond-shaped decanter set. The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante is set to ship in late April.
