Anjel Piñero, a Deaf actress, model, and dancer, lives by the motto “Being disabled is WHAT I am, and it has nothing to do with WHO I am.” She embraces her identity and strives to empower others. At the Super Bowl LVIII Kickoff Show, she will perform “America the Beautiful” in American Sign Language (ASL) alongside Post Malone singing vocals, reaching over 100 million viewers.

Originally from New York, Piñero is a graduate of the New York School for the Deaf and Gallaudet University. Despite being her first live performance in front of millions, she’s experienced in the spotlight, having competed in pageants, acted in TV shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and performed onstage.

Excited about the Super Bowl opportunity, she aims to showcase the beauty of ASL in song and hopes to create new opportunities from the experience, including potentially collaborating with celebrities like Taylor Swift, whom she admires.
