Jonathan Osorio, a Canadian midfielder with Toronto FC, has been named the new captain of the team, succeeding Michael Bradley. Osorio, in his 12th season with the club, has a strong connection with the team and is praised for his leadership qualities. The 31-year-old has 341 appearances with the franchise and 71 caps for the Canadian national team. Osorio, one of the designated players, expressed honor and determination in representing the fans and the city as captain. The team, led by coach John Herdman, is currently in training camp, preparing for the upcoming season after finishing at the bottom of the league standings last year. The roster is still a work in progress, and the team is looking forward to pre-season friendlies before the regular season opener on Feb. 25 against FC Cincinnati.
