Karol G’s collaborative track “+57,” featuring Colombian artists, has not only made waves in the reggaeton scene but also sparked a public feud between Puerto Rican artists Farruko and Anuel. The controversy began after Farruko criticized the lack of unity among Puerto Rican artists and their focus on violent themes, a comment Anuel took personally.
The conflict escalated on social media, with Anuel calling Farruko “dimmed,” and Farruko responding by questioning Anuel’s authenticity and accusing him of relying on controversy rather than musical quality. Farruko went so far as to hint at releasing a diss track, though neither artist has done so yet.
Adding to the drama, Anuel took shots at Farruko during a recent concert, while Farruko continues to address him indirectly online. The tension is surprising given their history of collaboration and mutual respect, with Anuel once publicly crediting Farruko for supporting him early in his career.
