Starbucks is set to make its debut in Ecuador, as announced on their TikTok profile. While the opening date and city remain undisclosed, the hashtag #ILoveStarbucks #Quito hints at its arrival in Quito. Despite this news, Starbucks products have been available in Ecuador since 2023 through supermarket chains, notably the Frappuccino, introduced by the North American Coffee Partnership. Originally starting as a small coffee shop in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has since expanded globally, with a presence in over 70 countries, including six in Latin America. In Ecuador, it will face competition from the established chain Sweet & Coffee, boasting over 130 outlets nationwide.
