BARRIO – Born in Connecticut to a Puerto Rican family, Justin Quiles was raised in Puerto Rico but returned to Connecticut to finish high school. He wrote his first song when he was 13 and says that he grew up listening to El General, salsa, hip hop, Wisin y Yandel, Tego Calderon and Don Omar.

J Quiles signed with record label Rich Music in 2013. His first single with the label was ‘Orgullo’, and a remix featuring J Balvin became a Top 20 hit on Billboard. He’s had much success since, but what many people don’t know is that he’s also an accomplished writer with many songwriting credits. Check this out.
