The Dominican Republic has been recognized as a leading nation in global assessments of mental well-being in a recent report evaluating emotional resilience following the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the findings, the country achieved a score of 91 out of 100 on the Mental Health Quotient, attributed to its serene lifestyle.

Joining the Dominican Republic in the top 10 are Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Panama, Malaysia, Nigeria, Venezuela, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Uruguay. Conversely, countries experiencing a decline in mood and self-esteem include Tajikistan, Brazil, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan, which didn’t fare as well in the rankings.
